Frohe Weihnachten! – Happy Christmas to all of you!!!

We hope you have a wonderful day with people you love around you!!!
We sure had a great 24th / Heiligabend and I can’t wait to see what Christmas Day will have in stock for us!

The 24th started with quite a surprise: two classmates — one of Uki and one of Nino — happened to swim right next to our boat this morning!! Together with their parents, of course… well, what a coincidence! We knew they had planned to be in the Caribbean, but meeting on this tiny island!!!?? Crazy!

But it did not stop there — soon after, we went out to the reef for a snorkel. We had promised the kids a shark (knowing that these kinds of promises are usually the equivalent of cotton candy… a great thought, but losing substance rather quickly!). However, we jumped off the dinghy, swam to the next coral bommie, and there it was — a 2m nurse shark! Well, what a Christmas present!!!! And what an amazing creature! Snorkeling there was like being in a fish tank… and the boys loved every bit of it!

Later on, we headed over to the beach for a couple of Christmas drinks with our friends… but the excitement was beyond bearable and as soon as darkness set in, we went back to the boat to wait for the Christkind.

Little did we know it must have been here while we were on land… and what a joy! So many presents!!!! Unfortunately, we were all so wrapped up in the moment that no proper footage was taken. But the kids’ joy and Joey’s tears of happiness will stay in my heart forever!

Today’s mission: find that shark again — because the Christkind brought the boys brand-new action cameras, and clearly the shark has signed up to be a movie star

Happy Christmas from our little floating paradise!

That’s such an amazing coincidence! (The friends and the shark, although I think more likely you would see a shark)! The Christkind finding you out there meets expectations!

I’ll look forward to the boys underwater photos!
