With the wind gone and the engines humming, the sea flattened out and life on board became wonderfully relaxed. Just before boredom could set in, a playful pod of dolphins came by to say hello.
The fishing lines saw some action too: one unidentified small dark green fish, a small barracuda (promptly released), and a perfectly sized Yellowfin Tuna. Needless to say, we enjoyed an excellent feast of sashimi, sushi, and maki — with the remainder most likely destined to become tuna burgers tonight.
We continued motoring through the night, which was thankfully calm, lightning-free, and entirely uneventful. At present, we’re pushing against a bit of current, but we should arrive at our anchorage around lunchtime or early afternoon. We can’t wait for a swim — and to discover how Kuna Yala has changed since our last visit.
