Today was a tough one for some of us…
The kids bounced back quickly from their bout of queasiness, but unfortunately, I came down with a nasty migraine — probably the same one that hit last week — mixed with a touch of seasickness. Quite the awful cocktail! And as if that wasn’t enough, Mark started turning a bit green this afternoon too. The waves aren’t even that bad, but seasickness always seems to strike when you least expect it.
Progress has been slower than we hoped. First I was stuck in bed, then Mark was down for the count, so sail changes were off the table. We had to make do with our current setup — at times crawling along at a painful 3 knots. Walking might’ve been faster!
But these are the “joys” of sailing we’ve learned to accept. Tomorrow is another day, and hopefully a better one.
Send us a bit of wind! 🌬️
